Mine is all metal

I made one with a Canare 75 ohm RCA and a Dale RN55E 75 ohm resistor. Could have turned the digital output off, but have usually left in on. Also did the same to the clock input with a BNC and a 52 ohm resistor.
It is something I can hear. A bit smoother. Have not tried the plumbers fittings on anything yet.
With the Canade plugs it is easy. They use a crimp on pin. Jump crimp the pin on the resistor lead, keeping it short so the resistor body is inside the barrel of the plug. Then wrap the other end around the outside and crimp on the sleeve.
it is not much cheaper than the plugs for sale. The Canare plugs are about 3 dollars and you have to have a good resistor of the right value. But this way you know the resistors do not have steel leads or other crap.
