I upgraded to the Multiwave ll+ chipset in my P-600 and was not impressed with the results. I ended up going back to Multiwave as the ll+ had a glare/edginess and synthetic quality to it that did not go away with burnin.
With that said, I use the sinewave function with AC voltage set to 118VAC and frequency set to 61hz as my EICO tube amp sounds best with these settings. The multiwave modes render a slightly bigger soundstage at the expense of naturalness if that makes sense.
The best upgrade one can do on the original PP series is to chuck the nickel plated Power Ports and install some Oyaide outlets...much better :-)
