I bought a bunch of these last month from this seller and they sound better in my 3rd order BW, 1600 Hz crossover than Solens, Auricaps, or Mundorf Supremes. There's a clarity to good oil caps in large values you don't get with foil IMHO. And they're cheap, like me.
The resistors should be non-inductive. Do they look like blocks of cement? You should be able to measure them in the circuit, if not, just lift one end of the pair.A good substitution are Mills Wirewounds. Be sure to get an equal or higher watt rating.
That's a Kimber lurking under the board for the attenuation circuit. Very nice in small values.
