try lightly stuffing the port on your speakers with a sock, or even placing an LP jacket leaning against the port (but not across the woofer, itself). That ought to cut the reflection of the bass off the floor. If you like what you hear, then try placing a beach towel in front of each speaker to absorb the reflected bass wave off the floor. If again you like the effect a throw rug may be called for. I believe that will cut that 69 Hz peak you mention.
