Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

I have a room in need of some taming. I'm planning to build some DIY panel absorbers and bass traps. For the bass traps, I have been considering the down-'n-dirty variety made from compressed glass fiber pipe insulation tubes. I'm have some trouble finding larger sizes of these - 14"D-16"D tubes that the recipes I've seen call for. How about using multiple smaller ones, say, 2 or 3 6"D tubes, instead of the single large tube?
Also, has anyone tried stuffing the empty hollow of these tubes with something, like some more fiber glass, Dacron, whatever?
