I have tried both inductor and Theta long time ago. If I am right, the outer end of inductor will connect to + or as In whereas inner end is - or Out. For right direction, inductor will sound fuller. For another direction, it will sound smaller and thinner.
Theta does have directional too. The "Audio" side is "In" or + and "Cap" side is "Out" or -. Can't remember for difference of Theta in both directions.
