What about switching reliability? That should count for at least as much as the sound quality. (Yikes! I can't believe I wrote that. But it's true.)Don't the Seiden switches have the highest switching count before failure? (I don't know if that's still true, I'm just asking out of curiosity.) You will be switching quite often when it is used for a volume control. Especially withing a certain window of volume.
