Lead free solder does not result in a shiny solder joint. It will always be a bit gray and dull compared to a good leaded solder joint. Lead free solders do not wet (flow) as well as leaded solders. I use a similar tin/silver/copper solder alloy and it works ok. It is more important with lead free solders to be sure that the parts to be soldered are cleaned and free of oxides. Old parts or wire must be scraped clean with a blade or wire brush to improve solderability.
