If the speakers are cheap and you have nothing to lose, go for it. Building cabinets and getting the crossover right is much harder than it seems. I built the Orca/Focal 133 MkII kit about ten years ago and it took me weeks just to finish the cabinets. You can only work on finishing one of the six cabinet sides at a time for obvious reasons.
Take the money you would have spent doing that and buy a quality, bargain budget speaker such as the Polk RTi6. I've never seen a more perfect finish on a speaker and its sound is phenominal for the $.
