Ok so I have these absolutely shit creative speakers system. 5.1 and all that jazz. Dirt Cheap, absolute crap by any decent audiophile standard.

They sound pretty good to me. It means I must be deluded or something. Probably the sound card adds a lot to them.
Im using a Audigy 2 ZS, was the top of the line when it came out and has some nifty features. I think audio DVDs sound fucking fantastic on it but apparently it isnt ideal for stereo music and I should of brought some turtle card or other forget exactly.
Getting to the point. I want to tweak these 5.1 speakers and rebuild them into 2.1 speakers. Combining the drivers for the front and back left channel into one custom built cabin and the front and back drivers for the right channel into a cabin. You think this will be any better or am I just wasting my time?
Should I just throw this shit away and go without tunes for a couple of years until I can buy a competent system?
