Balanced a/c can be choked. I suggest choking the primary side for max benefit first. The 193L is good for this application. You will experience two different tonal qualities pending the transformer side the choke is installed. The effect is similar to comparing isolation and balance modes within the same transformer. The isolation method rolls off the top end to provide more warmth and the balanced method rolls off the bass to provide more bottom end extension. After the primary is dialed in experiment with the secondary side in order to balance the circuit...choke > transformer > choke...balance is important when designing with transformers...so many people get it wrong because they only filter one side of the trannie...one sided filtering throws the magnetic field in the transformer out of whack.Alan
