I tried that experiment some time ago, just to be contrary. I put Aurios Pro bearings between my Ohio Class platform and my CD player at the time, and the sound just collapsed. Sounded awful. SRA bases are designed for components to be placed directly on them, not "buffered" by another isolation device. You can always try it for yourself, but that was my experience.
