It was the best increase in sound for the least time and money ever. I also went to a standard MateNLock connector with gold pins to connect the output of the phono stage to a passive attenuator. That took 4 pairs of RCAs out of that side because the attenuator end of that cable is hard wired as well. The passive has three pair of cables that are hardwired, one to silver disc player, one to phono stage and one to HT setup.The cables are DIY using twisted pairs of 24ga teflon insulated copper. The wires are from CAT 5 cabling.
