U ain't lying there. It is an extreme tweak to say the least.
"What is recommended for small individual transformers? I thought I had read once about a company (BPT?) that had a box with something like six transformers in it but searches turned up empty."
I believe your after the API Ultra series of Power conditioners. They employ small balanced power transformers for each of the source component outlets.
