hmm....I tried 0.47uF silver/oil Mundorfs in my tube DAC at the output and in my DIY tube amplifier utilizing 300B, AV8 and GM70 power tubes several times for about two years. Always the sound was flat and artificial.HF were not so extended as expected.
I'm using 1.5uF and 6.8uF silver /oil Mundorfs in mu Tannoy DC alnico 3806 crossovers (drivers used in Westmister Royal HE speakers) and they are fine and recommneded.
All it was also confirmed in my friend in Audio and DIY fan and the panel of friends which was listening to the bunch of different caps at the tube DAC output. It is all a matter of taste. I just shared my (and others) experiences.
