From what I read it looks like you have paid attention to the details with the bypass caps. I may be going out on a limb here, but I would think that once the cap is charged the wire becomes a part of the tank/reserve. I believe that there may be additional inductance based on the wire, but overall it should work and yield sonic benefits.Of course you could optimize the mod with more esoteric caps and ones that fit the board, but that would take some of the fun out of immediately implementing the modification.
Do you hear a difference with the mod?
