Do it by ear

I have 2 Quietlines and had the Sniffer for a while. Don't try and incorporate the Quietlines by going off what a squawk box tells you...for this tweak let your ears be the guide.

When i started i plugged the SB in and listened, sounded horrid. Stick a QL in that socket and BAM, no horrid sound. Next, my stero
sounded muffled....by removing the line junk it stole the emotion, bass & drive.

these things are a hit & miss trial. defintiely do it by ear.

One story, back in an early World War when 2-way radios were 1st developed they made a bunch & sent them out, problem was they didn't work. The armed forces figured out that by adding distortion to the signal, the voices could be heard. After my recent experiences with these products, i'm in the camp that a little noise is a very good thing.

Also, every single enthusiast in this hobby has crap poisoning the AC quality....if it was THAT big of a deal folks wouldn't make gear, and gear wouldn't sound good.

my 2 cents.

I do have the Quietlines installed in my condo, but not on lines where my gear is plugged in... i can't detect much, if any changes...just leaving them in for good measure i guess.
