I found that it needed LOTS of burn in time. Had mine in for three weeks and I still found it hard and distorted in the lower treble. Took it out and put a gold copper furutech in, better tonal balance but missing something. A few weeks of the Furutech and decided to try the SWO-XXX again and gave it another 4 weeks and it finally started mellowing.Apparently the new Ultimo versions take even longer.
I tried a second SWO-XXX, so that both wall sockets feeeding my system were the XXX. regrdaless of how much burn in, the effect was too much. Found that my amps prefered the gold/copper Furutech and left the SWO on my front ends only.
