I installed a Oyaide outlet into my system (cryo SWO-XXX) this weekend (moved from Cable Asylum)

Yikes, another Oyaide thread....

The results were indisputably horrid. Bass is almost eliminated and all the excitement is gone. A hifi aspect like soundstaging is indeed improved but where my lps seemed closer to actually being in the room, they now sound like recordings. Amazing what one little outlet can do to a system. Bass is tighter (good) but what's the point if you can't hear it or if dynamics are gone? The table I use is known for drive, slam, etc...(high torque motor) so for a single outlet to eliminate these aspects is truly remarkable. It's been in my system all weekend including Friday night.

Today is *March 18th*. I am going to put the Oyaide where my refrigerator plugs into and let it sit there for three months. Look for a thread around *June 18th* where I see if there was any change with break-in from the refrigerator. This should be a very easy assessment. All I have to do is see if I can hear the bass, slam, and dynamics again.

Until June, I'm going to throw in something else. Anyone have any recommendations? Is there a better way to break-in these outlets?
