I recently installed a pair of Sonic Cap Platinums in my Aksa preamp in the preamp input signal path position and have been simply amazed at the improved sound that has resulted. After reading all the praises for the V-Cap TFTF, here and elsewhere, I decided to give the Platinums a try as they are 30% less cost than the TFTF. Literally every sound quality measure has been markedly improved with this installation. It was noticeable almost immediately. Now, about a month after installation the sound is really opening up to true audiophile heights.
I used a full value cap, 1 uf.
All I can say is WOW.
