Try slotting in a 100k linear pot between your TVC and your player's outputs. Play with the linear pot until you get clean sound out of your TVC that can still be strong enough to drive your amps; measure the resistance at the linear pot and plug that same value into your player's outputs via high quality resistors (matched, of course!).If that still doesn't work, maybe the TVC is bad???
