I am preparing to construct DIY Acoustic Panels and Tubes ala Mr. Risch. I am curious to know the performance compromise of using 1", 4.5# or 3# Acousticotton as the backing AND facing for absorption panels and as the covering for the bass traps. My use of Acousticotton as a "barrier" is to assuage my spouse's concerns about the raw fiberglass.
If the Acousticotton inhibits the fiberglass performance, am I better off just using 2" of the Acousticotton for the absorption panels?
Thanks in advance for your feedback.
James
