I use an ionization blower which I picked off Ebay for about $25 used. These are the same devices used in factories to keep static under control and keep dirt off plastic parts in medical applications as things pass down rubber conveyor belts etc. They are sometimes used in electronic part manufacturing too.The unit blows a steady steam of positive and negative ions and neutralizes everything in its wake. It's like firing a cannon at static. I run it for 30 seconds before I power up my gear and bye bye static. It also makes an amazing recrod cleaning tool.
I have photos in my gallery. The brand I have is a Simco. They sell for about $200-600 new depending upon the model but appear quite often on Ebay.
