Small-watters can be paralleled for greater watt rating in speaker duty. I've used Radio Shack 5-packs for satisfactory tweeter service. RS 1/2-watters are carbon-film construction with tinned solid copper leads. Five 10-ohm, 1/2 watt resistors in parallel = 2 ohms, 2.5 watts composite.
