Cullen P1000 mods

Hi kenster,

I'm actually writing a review for these mods which I will post on this forum as soon as I can. It's gotten a little long and I'm trying to edit it down, or at least write an index so that readers can jump to the bits they're interested in.

Rick Cullen is an independent contract manufacturer with Cullen Circuits doing work for many clients and companies. His job as a production engineer is to exorcise bugs and design problems before final production assembly begins. Cullen Circuits built every PS Audio product until the new Power Plant Premier (which PSA chose to make in China to keep prices competitive). He has modded equipment for himself and friends for years, but has recently decided to make his experience available to the public.

The specific mods to my P1000 were:The effect on my system has been spectacular. There is a crystal-clarity that I didn't know was possible. Everything is rich and smooth and the performances really swing. Music is really alive, but at the same time there is a solid authority to the sound.

I have been posting my findings on the PS Audio website. I have a preliminary review written there if you're interested--there are specific responses to my impressions of the mods throughout the thread. I'm hoping to have the final version of the review finished sometime this week.

I hope this helps.
