I have marble floors. One day about 2 years ago, when I had about an hour to kill, I used foam insulation (for pipes) to seperate the cables. This is a huge HT system, tons of cables everywhere, all over each other. I could hear a distinct, although slight difference that was positive (imaging improved a bit). I did not have the time to continue the experiment and it has slipped my mind until I saw your post.I do not have much time lately and have other audio projects in the works. When I have the time I am going to build (or buy) some nice cable risers to seperate all that cabling and experiment with it. If I find positive, audibly noticible results, I will post what I did and the differences I hear.
