I bought a Second hand sony cdp X3000ES. It has taken me a year to get it going. It always stopped before the last track. I sent it to Sony who kept it for 4 months and changed the laser, but no difference. I have just discovered that it is the wire loom from laser to transport mechanism that is out of alignment and gets in front of the mechanism and switches it off.Now I have corrected this, I wonder how you get at the insides of this player (without removing the record rotator) to reclock or tweak this player (caps or whatever). I know it is not highly thought of, but I thought perhaps a reclocking would allow it to work ok as a transport.
Does any one know the clock cycle, or whatever it is called?
It probably could do with being damped from within, as the sides are quite thin, I believe.
Does anyone have any tips?
