Re: Any tweaks for the Graham Slee Era Gold Phono Amp and Elevator?

I checked the Era Gold out yesterday and confirmed that the Blackgate modified Phono stage had better performance than the stock one in overall transparency, clarity, bass impact, tonal colors, and especially dynamic range. Extended listening confirmed the accuracy of my hearings and further comparisons with another two phono stages (Jasmine LP2.0 SE and a Tube phono stage based on a VTL design) enhanced my sense of judgement for sure. Using a Ortofon Kontrapunkt A on a Lingo powered Linn LP12 and Ekos tonearm and a Denon 103R on a Denon DP80 and Mirco Seiki MA505S tonearm, with 100 ohms and 32ohms set on the EXP(unmodified) respectively, the sound reproduced was superb. I think the modification with Blackgate caps has advanced the already excellent performance of the Era Gold V even further though I was not certain at the beginning.
