I can't believe this could happen but I recently put a 32" tv in the bedroom next to my audio system and HOLY COW, I MEAN HOLY FRIGGIN COW. My entire system is just exploding like it never did. I am experiencing bass that is tighter and more see through soundstage, micro dynamics detail. I can't believe this. I unplugged the TV and kaboom, the magic was gone. I started to look on the net for an answer. I came across the Walker velocitor and the associated Quantum Symphony EMF stabilizer.
I remembered that the HV supply is always energized in these big tube TV units. The HV supply is a switching type that makes some level of EMF. Is it possible that I am experiencing the effect that these power "enhancers" produce. The tech on these is that they produce their own EMF field at 20mhz.
This is NOT a subtle effect, the bass power from my 2 Velodyne 15" subs is now scary.
The prescence is startling. Has anyone experienced anything like this. BTW the effect collapses when I put a high insertion loss EMI filter on the TV. Placing the EMI filter in the system does not remove the improvement. Are we paying far too much for these "magical" enhancers from Walker.
They get almost $4k for their tricked out unit.
Please tell me I am on to something.
Bob
