Hi have F&T caps in my Leak Stereo 50 amp, which I rebuilt last year. I had not used it for 6 months or so. When I started it up recently, one of the resistors in the power supply started burning!After replacing the resistor, I brought it up on a variac, and its been working properly ever since. I make sure I use it at least once a week now, with great trepidation.
Anyway, my guess is that one of the caps went dry, and had to be reformed, in the meantime drawing huge current..And, they are less than 1 year old.
So, not sure I want to use F&T any more..
