This doesn't answer your question but I replaced all my outlet covers with Stainless steel plates a while ago with Stainless screws. I figured, non-magnetic, might make a difference, and they look nice. Then I saw all these fancy ones coming out and decided to try coating them with Carbonfiber sheets. They are very good quality thin sticky backed real carbon fiber designed for craft use. I tested it to ensure it was real, and actually conductive, and sure enough it is. I put two strips of Dampening material across the back, and also covered much of it covered by copper foil tape. Copper and carbon fiber absorb different frequencies, so it should maximize the shielding. Also, the plastic outlet box was lined with the same foil tape.I can't say I heard any real noticable differences before and after. It took me close to 4 hours to do all that work, so to go from listening to music, 4 hour + break, and then listen again, I can't say for certain I could tell anything was improved. I thought maybe I heard slightly quieter backgrounds, and maybe slightly clearer highs. On the other hand, I have some really cool outlet covers now, and it cost me all of maybe 20-30 bucks to do 6 outlet covers.
