Help! I burnt the A1 ch in CS4360KZz

hi all,

I was having fun tweaking my Philip DVP5500S. I got great sound by replacing the rectifiers, PS caps, and eventually removing the output Op amp 4560 altogether!
the output from CS4360 thru Sanyo cap by passed by a PIO is great!
Then tragedy strike when in the process of changing the output PIO, I shorted the A1 ch pin 27 of CS4360 to a -12V DC. The story is below for those who may want to laugh...

Anyway, could i some how use Ch A2 in place of A1, or I must replace the CS4360KZz? I will try to switch the ch settling from stereo to 6 ch and see what happen. I am only interested to use this DVD player for 2 ch play back only. Hope some one could advise me...!

Tks and best rgds

William Lee

(The Russian PIO was very big, and the pin 27 end was shorted to the heat sink on top of the main IC chip, which I used -12 Volts to ground the heat sink. I know I should have applied the -12V by placing in serial a 10k to the -ve then a cap to ground!)
