Does Copper plating of steel enclosure for integrated amplifier or other components brings any benefits? If yes, where they come from ? Better common ground, emi/rfi or something else. Sansui used to do this, there must be a reason besides looking pretty.
How about "mix and match", i.e. making enclosure from Steel and Aluminum, bottom and sides from steel and top, back and front from Aluminum?
Last but not least, would combining Aluminum and Copper make any sense.
I understand that there are many factors here at play and that answer perhaps is not an easy one. Any leads for further reading are welcome, even googling tips.
