Zricak - are you familiar with RDH-4? That's one source - looked it up since I last posted but this a 50 year old reference. Yeah, you do want to allow a safety factor when designing/replacing electros but 50% over the rated voltage is probably the maximum. But, like I stated, do some research. I may easily be wrong but I'm pretty sure that one of my sources - in the 70s - was from the Mallory corporation which made many of the electrolytics at that time in the USA. Too bad I no longer have a capacitance meter that tests the value under full voltages - the unit went up to 600V but the power tranny fried and I scrapped it about 12-15 years ago. Truly a relic of the "first age of tubes."Rob
