Hey all.
I've got 4 PEH200 electrolytic capacitors, which are about 10cm tall. Rather than buy a 12 cm tall enclosure, I'd like to mount them horizontally (hence use a 10cm tall case).Since I have 4, I want them in a 2x2 square, with the negative terminals connected making a star ground.
To maintain this while positioning horizontally, I was thinking to mount them normally on a piece of aluminium or steel, and then bolt that to the chassis with a 90 degree bracket.Would there be any problems mounting as such ?
I've seen examples of horizontally mounted capacitors, but they were in a single row along the case, rather than a 2x2 configuration I was hoping for.

- Indeed. In addition to using the clamps, I'd anchor the 4 together with double-sided plastic-foam mounting tape... - jeffreybehr 09:46:26 01/25/07 (0)
