Thanks for you comments.

Unfortunately, unlike your case I'm limited in height for most of my amps since they are in stands with other components. But I'll still try some of your suggestions.

We went to the hardware store yesterday and I picked up various neoprene washers, rubber mats, etc. and I'll do some experimenting.
