This is one of those weird projects that leaves the less fanciful among us question the sanity of some experimenters out there... here's my contribution to the freakshow... I got my hands on a new "subtle energy" product called a Clarus Q-Link clock.... yeeees... I know.... once upon a time, the Tice clock and all that.... Clarus does NOT market their products for audio purposes... they're actually suposed to straighten out your brainwaves... thank you for not snickering at this point.... with something called Sympathetic Resonance technology... closely related I suspect to the stuff in the Walker emitter thing and the Quantum doohickies that make sweet love to electrons and send them on their way changed from inelastic to elastic electrons... so... okey dokey... plugged in the Clarus version III clock and got a strange head buzz, it supposedly is tuned to the Schumnann resonance or whatever... and naturally being of the disatisfied sort, I cut the power cord and soldered in two Bybee Slipstream low power purifier modules, shrunk tubed it, and fired it up.... Bybee also says that his Slipstreams are efficient removers of inelastic electrons, or maybe they change to elestic while coursing down the carbon nanotubes... beats the dope out of me.... anyway... the Clarus clock turns on and the head buzz is there but it feels distinctly less agressive, "sweeter" if that makes any sense.... so I kick back and settle into the experience and put on some wes montgomery/wynton kelly and the music is really engaging, plangent, flowing along and I'm sitting here rocking out to Wes thinking, man this ain't so bad, gettin' my groove on... so what gives... is this gadget transmitting some kind of coherence field like the Velocitor, or is it doing something to the electricity flowing in the wires... feels kinda sexy... so then I put on the Red Army Chorus... damn ! Them Russkies can sing... unfreakinbelievable... I am at a loss to explain this effect......OK... let's try something from the other end of the spectrum... John Coltrane's OM... not exactly My Favorite Things... reportedly Coltrane's response to LSD.... wildly convoluted dense thicket of tones, like Coltrane channeling Sun Ra... whoa dude... what gives ???? It like OM is being untangled or something totally off the wall... excuse me.... must go swing from a chandelier now...
