Hearing about the new Grungebuster 2007 CD mat, I recently visited Herbie's site for the first time in several months. Bought tube dampners for KT77 and the ebony domes for beneath my speakers, both of which seemed to add a hint of refinement and clarity to the system. The package arrived very quickly...

The BIG improvement, though, came from the 2007 Grungebuster CD mat. It seems much superior to former GB mats, both of which I had used extensively. I used the GB2007 for several days before installing the other tweaks: it is a different beast, much thicker and layered with different materials. It adheres MUCH better than the 2.2 mat and the improved "presence" of the music - more detail and seemingly more coherence in the overall presentation- are VERY noticible.

Herbie is one of those guys that takes a good thing and continues to improve upon it, turning it into a great thing. Nice to see he continues to make advancements for the hobby, and isn't resting on his laurels, or, for that matter, ass.
