If you don't sell it to Jeffrey,

I assume you don't have test instruments. Try replacing the diodes. If you ahve a slight hum in a well-designed power supply, it could be that one of the diodes has opened and you're actually running off a half-wave power supply. Diodes are cheap and easy to replace. The other easy possibility is a filter cap that's failing. They, too, are cheap and pretty easy to replace for a low voltage, low power unit like this. The next possibility is a voltage regulator. Those go out sometimes.

If you replace all these items with stock items, you're looking at $10-20. If you upgrade to HEXFRED diodes and maybe some well-regarded caps, double that. It's still not much, and is probably within your skills.
