Modding a Music Hall CD 25.2

Folks:

I am considering buying a Music Hall CD 25.2. I recognize that several players in the mod market offer upgraded versions of the 25.2, but I'd like to buy it stock and listen to it for awhile before trying to implement some mods myself. What I'm interested in knowing now is whether anyone can recommend specific mods to the 25.2 suitable for a novice. Underwood Wally installs Black Gate caps at the output, a few polysterene and film caps, some better resistors and Hexfreds, amongst other things. Reference Audio Mods and HRAM aren't terribly different. But I have no idea what values to get, when I prepare for the mods.

I have some basic soldering skills and have built a few audio components, but am no expert. Can anyone recommend specific parts to replace, along with specific replacements (e.g., Black Gate N series cap, 'x' voltage and 'y' uf)? And is it resonably easy to identify which parts I need to pull?

Thank you,
Scott
