At first I was very pleased and said so here on AA. Sounded richer in the mids. Then started to notice that some of the HF was rolled off slightly. Itg happened on one of my test discs where I have some subtle HF stuff, so otherwise I might not have noticed.Tested on Al Sekela's much more revealing rig. Same results. Al liked it at first, but when we used my and his test tracks, we each found that it lost a little HF in our respective recordings.
So I stopped using them but didn't pan them here, because I felt that would be unfair.
Herbiew makes some very good products and gives good service. That was NOT up for question in this case.
If the 2.2s are different and don't roll off HF, then I'd be interested again.
