He said 3 thousanths of an inch is unacceptable, and you indicated 65 thousanths.I have a Hitachi 12 incher which cost 350 bucks out of HD, and with a good 100 or so tooth blade, can rip boards that are so close you can't feel a difference with them together.
Rip alignment is key, though. The hitachi fence aligns itself quite well when it clamps, I've had some fences that didn't do so.
It sounds like you're blade bearing is worn down, allowing the blade to wander side to side. That is what happened to me years ago, it made the width of the rip dependent on the feed rate.
I recommend the Hitachi setup I used, it had a plastic green base which made it lighter to carry, I didn't have a permanent shop setup, and the heavy ones are just too heavy for me nowadays.
