I have tried many configurations. All other types but Herbie's have imparted a notable sonic signature or a level of degradation in what good they do. Even the "better than most" previous Herbie's dot products have not performed as well as the newer Big Fat Black Dot does. It's the most transparent I've heard, as of yet.For me; my Sound Anchors loudspeaker stand's stock Sorbothane Blue Dot is the touchstone of compliant loudspeaker footers, and the Big Fat Black Dot is in a *much* higher league, IMHO.
