LOL,Being a high end tweak freak, I will tell you that what a lot of people refer to as high mass stands are actually mid or light mid weight stands.
I like the Dayton audio heavy weight stands from PartsExpress. Fill them with lead shot from shotgun shells. You can buy these in cartons and mix with just a little washed sand.
I put an additional 20 lbs of marble or granite on top to mass load the stand to the floor and spike everything. Stand to floor, stand to marble, and marble to speaker. Having a heavy speaker helps too. I even had a friend that put marble on top of the speaker to mass load it to the mass loaded stand.
Now that is a load of mass! I always thought he was over the top!
