Re: Need advice on which ceramics to replace with polyprop film caps in this circuit?

Ceramics are BAD NEWS in audio circuits. There is a hierarchy in bypass caps. In decending order of merit they are Silver mica; stacked film; polystyrene; polypropylene; etc.; etc. Ceramics are in the cellar. Their only virtue is that they are non-inductive, which is of prime importance. Only the SM & stacked films are non-inductive in the hierarchy above. The reason that you are using bypasses is to prevent the bypassed capacitor, etc. from going into resonance (overload) and dropping out of the circuit : the bypass cap's job is to shunt the HFI & RFI to ground. You should also bypass the rectifier diodes and all of the 'lytics in the circuit with SM's or stacked film. Silver mica's are the fastest and are still favored by radio hams for that reason as well as their non-inductiveness. IMHO any bypass in excess of 0.01 uF intrudes in the audio range and degrades sonics.

Happy Listening !
