...I was using Star Sound Audio Points which is the only footer I have used under my current loudspeakers until now.The only bearing product that I have used are the Ganymede VCS roller bearings which are still in place underneath my DAC. It should be noted that the Timken bearings are simply coupling devices in this configuration and do not move in any direction.
These coupling devices have a profound effect on the sound in every location they have been tried, but they do screw up the sound in some spots. I have noted previously that they do not behave well in connection with maple platforms. They do however work exceedingly well between my DAC and transport which sits atop a maple board and spring platform from Machina Dynamica called the Promethean Base.
