Posting on my wifes name so ignore the descrepency. I am an electronic tech with alot of background in.. Hey you it's broke fix it. What I've used with great results on heavier traces is Solder wick. It's great hold it flat with knief and solder. You can even glue it with Superglue, but WARNING do not solder the Superglue the fumes are TOXIC. This is one of the best ways to mod, repair pc boards.
