There is a difference in power cables. I dont know why - other
than the obvious things like wire gauge, construction materials,
copper quailty, etc. - but there is. If you want to test this
for yourself, you can do this: substitute a heavier wire
gauge power cord for one you are using now - say a 14 ga.
to replace an 18 ga. cord. You should notice some difference.
Next, replace the plug on the power cord with a better
quality plug - Pass and Seymour 5266X is a good replacement
plug. And you should notice some more difference. Next
thing, you might be buying expensive power cords or making
your own. I am starting to make my own. Good luckMike
