I don't know how your grounding is done now, but a copper rod driven into ground outside is always a good idea. Usually most houses in US already have it.

What do you do with that new ground is completely unclear, though. If you already have the third safety wire on your outlet, you don't want to move it to "your" ground.

In sensitive measurement world it is common to use such "clean" ground, but the audio equipment is not designed for that.
