Par-- In the original post I see no mention of what era Genalex KT88 or RCA 5692 they are referring to. I assume they mean the so-called "clear top" RCA 6FQ7/6CG7 from the 1960s and early 1970s(which, of course is not a "true" 6CG7 at all) that some people call the sidegetter-- I think the Ei/Yugo betters the over-hyped cleartop RCA version of this medium mu twin triode already (though I like the 1950s top getter/black plate RCA version best of all) so perhaps EH can exceed cleartop standards as well. I like the US Beam Tetrode 6CA7 very much and think EH is going to really have to reach to produce a superior tube to even the late-era Owensboro, Kentucky production 6CA7s. As always, I enjoy reading your posts, but I must be missing something here... perhaps you saw a more complete version of these "facts" on the EH or New Sensor sites... if so please post to that effect.
